Season 8 Information

Dates:

Our season will run on Thursday evenings from September 15th – December 8th, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. There will be no rehearsal on November 10th. 

Fees:

The registration fee for the Fall 2022 season is $150. Payment is due by the second week of practice. If you are in need of financial assistance to participate, please contact Amy.

Refund policy:

• If a member decides to drop out within the first two rehearsals (before Sep 23), they will receive a full refund. 
• Prorated refunds will be given after two weeks and up to four weeks (before Oct 7). 
• After four weeks (Oct 7) no refund will be offered, although extenuating circumstances will be considered.

Location:

We will be practicing at Bayside Middle School in their band room. It has built-in risers, seats about 50 people and has carpet to help with acoustics. There is an exterior door, which can be opened for increased air flow.

The school address is 1101 Newton Pl. If anyone is unfamiliar with where the school is located, it is in Brentwood Bay on Newton Place, which is off of Wallace drive. There is lots of parking in a large parking lot.

Concert:

Our winter concert performance will be on Sunday, December 11 at the First Unitarian Church of Victoria, 5575 W Saanich Rd. We hope to have some special guests like at our summer concert too. Concert Information

Repertoire:

We will be singing nostalgic songs that evoke memories of years gone by.

Members will be provided with access to practice tracks, sheet music, weekly schedule, and rehearsal recordings.

COVID policy:

• Mask wearing is optional whilst singing together. Please respect others’ individual decisions to either mask or un-mask in our choir. 
• All members are required to be vaccinated.
• Please do not attend choir if you have any COVID-like symptoms.
• Rehearsals will be live-streamed over Zoom and recorded for those unable to attend any given rehearsal.
